Buddylog will evolve in three phases. Here's what will change with each version.

App Version 1

The Beginning of Animal Registration and Connection

With Buddylog, users can register a wide range of animals — not only their pets, but also stray animals they are currently caring for or have found.
All registered animals are stored in the database, and users can discover and connect with one another’s animals.

Through this, users can record their relationships with animals, connect with others, and even open up opportunities for monetization.

App Version 2

Introducing Animal Recognition Technology

Buddylog will introduce a new machine learning-based animal recognition feature.
If a user spots an animal outdoors, they can take a photo to instantly find out who the animal is.
When a missing pet is found by someone else, the guardian will be notified with real-time location information.

This also helps quickly identify rescue targets in disaster zones, or confirm the identity of animals that have already been rescued.
Version 2 is expected to be released about one year after the official launch of Version 1.

App Version 3

Integrating Physical Recognition Devices

To support cases where photo recognition is not enough, physical recognition using devices like GPS tags or mobile chips will be introduced.
This allows anyone to correctly identify a lost pet and connect it with its guardian quickly and safely.

Although this may be limited when it comes to stray or wild animals, it provides powerful support for protecting companion animals.
By combining machine learning recognition with physical tracking, Buddylog creates a more reliable and effective protection system.

01

Realization of the social issue

Recognizing the seriousness of the issue of missing and abandoned animals

We faced the harsh reality that countless companion animals go missing or are abandoned every year around the world.
As a result, many animals are left in danger on the streets or separated from their families.
We realized that this specific issue cannot be ignored.

Idea development

Planning the Buddylog project and setting the direction of the service

For a long time, we explored how to prevent pets from going missing and how to make it easier to find them when they do.
After extensive research and review, the direction of the Buddylog app project began to take shape.

Start of app development

Beginning the development of the Buddylog app

In 2024, we officially began developing the Buddylog app.
Through many trials and simulations, we are shaping the app into a form that brings our vision to life.

Completion of Version 1

Launching the first version focused on core features

The first version of Buddylog will be released with its core features in place.
This launch marks the beginning of an app that will continue to evolve and expand.

Crowdfunding launch

Securing funds for early operation and future expansion

We are gathering supporters to join us on this journey.
All funds raised through crowdfunding will be used for Buddylog’s operations, research, and future version development.

Beta test opening

Pre-release access to a limited group of users

The beta version of Version 1 will be released exclusively to selected testers.
Supporters with beta access will be able to explore and use the app before the official launch.

Feedback integration

Improving the app based on tester feedback

We will enhance the app based on the feedback collected during beta testing.
This is the final step to increase the app’s completeness before the official release.

Opening of early access

Limited early release of Version 1 to select users

All supporters who join the campaign within 36 hours will receive early access to the app,
starting one month before the official launch.

Official release of the Buddylog app

Official launch of Buddylog Version 1

Buddylog’s first version will finally be released.
Even after launch, we will continue to provide a stable and convenient service through ongoing updates.

Completion of reward granting

All in-app rewards have been granted to our supporters

All promised rewards have now been granted to those who supported our campaign.
This marks the full completion of all our commitments made during the crowdfunding project.
Supporters can access their in-app benefits, such as badges, Early Access, or Premium Service, directly through the app.

Reward granting is expected to be fully completed within 4 to 6 months following the end of the campaign.

Development of object recognition machine learning

Completion of AI-based pet identification model

We have completed development of a machine learning system that can identify animals
based on their appearance and location, allowing users to search using only photos.

Release of Version 2

Update featuring animal recognition functionality

The second version of Buddylog will include our new animal recognition feature,
enabling faster and more accurate searches for missing pets.

Expansion of AI interaction features

Enhancing AI features for rescue, abandonment, and abuse detection

Our machine learning system will evolve beyond simple recognition.
It will analyze posted images and text to detect animals in need of rescue or signs of abuse,
and include predictive tracking of animal activity zones.

Development of GPS tracking device

Creation of a physical tracking device using NFC and GPS

We will develop a physical device that supports animal recognition,
designed to attach to a pet’s harness or collar and work seamlessly with the app.

Release of Version 3

Launch of update with integrated hardware support

Buddylog Version 3 will include full integration with the GPS tracking device,
allowing pet tracking and activity monitoring—completing our platform for missing animal prevention.
